Green Technology / Tankless Water Heating
Green Technology and Tankless Water Heating
Tankless water heating has been in use for decades in both Europe and Asia. It has only became popular in the United States in the last 10 years. Tankless water heating is our future. It is appealing to people who want to be green, use less energy, and want a never ending supply of hot water. It is predicted that 15%-20% of all water heater replacements in the next 10 years will be to tankless.

Why Tankless
Tankless heaters vary in efficiency from 84% non-condensing to 98% condensing compared to the average 64% efficiency of tank style heaters.
Energy Savings
Tankless heaters will supply an unlimited supply of hot water. Tankless heaters, unlike tankstyle heaters, do not heat and reheat the same water throughout the day, they only heat water until the demand is fulfilled.
Space Savings
Tankless heaters are typically wall mounted, using no useful floor space, and can be mounted almost anywhere to accommodate specific installation needs.
Longer Life Expectancy
Tankless heaters last longer than the traditional tank style heaters, tankless require little maintenance over their lifetime and if servicing is required all individual parts can be replaced at a reasonable price. It is recommended that the heat exchanger be delimed yearly for full efficiency and longer life expectancy of the heat exchanger.
Price Gap
Originally tankless technology was close to twice the price of a tank style heater, but in recent years with the raising cost of steel and energy credits the gap has significantly narrowed making owning tankless with in most budgets.
